THE HUB OF THE MOVEMENT FOR A GREEN NEW DEAL

A national coordinating hub that supported the Green New Deal movement.

The Green New Deal Network brought together frontline communities, labor organizers, and climate advocates from across the country to support alignment around the vision and principles of a Green New Deal. During its active years, GNDN helped connect organizations working at local, state, and federal levels, with a focus on advancing large-scale public investment, shared policy frameworks, and cross-movement collaboration.

The network functioned as an infrastructure and coordination space for organizations engaged in climate, labor, and economic justice work, rather than as a standalone campaign or governing body.

What is a

Green New Deal?

The Green New Deal is a framework for a government agenda that calls for robust public investment to address the climate crisis while advancing economic security and racial justice. It emphasizes building a cleaner and fairer economy by tackling interconnected challenges including climate change, economic inequality, and systemic injustice. Historically, the Green New Deal framework has been used to illustrate how comprehensive public investment could reshape energy systems, infrastructure, jobs, and care work in ways that center people and communities rather than corporate profit.
